Al’manac of Modern Metrology № 1 (17) 2019, pages 159–180

The state and prospects for the development of hydroacoustic measurements in the megahertz frequency range, widely used in ultrasonic medical instrument engineering, are considered. The problems of development in ensuring the uniformity of measurements in the field of health care are outlined. The application features of focused high-intensity ultrasonic fields in the treatment of oncological diseases and the challenges facing metrology in ensuring the effective and safe application of high-intensity ultrasound are considered.

Key words: hydroacoustic measurements, hyperthermia, medical ultrasound, oncology, measuring instruments for medical purposes, focused fields of high intensity, test objects.
