The articles in the sixth issue of the Al’manac of Modern Metrolgy deal with the topic of physicochemical measurements and address important issues of metrological support for these measurements in the interest of the national economy. The articles are based on the concepts, results of investigations, and conclusions from the papers presented at the all-Russian scientific-technical conference “Metrology of physicochemical measurements” held in Mendeleevo in October 2015 and organized by Rosstandart, VNIIFTRI and ZAO Innovatsionnye technologii “Test-Pribor”. The conference papers were recommended for publication as articles in the Al’manac of Modern Metrolgy.
Contents of the issue

The fifth issue, which comes out at the end of 2015, sums up a year of metrological activity in a variety of fields, in particular time-frequency, radio, and acoustic measurements, and discusses prospects for development of these areas and their standards bases.
The journal publishes new results of metrological investigations in the field of pulse pressures, ionising radiations, thermodynamic temperature.
The need for adjusting the normative base in the area of ensuring the uniformity of measurements according to the legislation of the Russian Federation is discussed.

The fourth issue of the Al’manac presents the latest results from metrological studies in such areas as underwater acoustic and time and frequency measurements. A special focus is given to methods and devices for metrological support for GLONASS. Undoubtedly of interest is search and new solutions to metrological problems, particularly those of instrument calibration. Considerable space is devoted to national calibration and measurement capabilities in the domain of time and frequency measurements.
