Annotation. In this work, a multifrequency diode laser with a central emission wavelength of 1.5 μm is self-injection locked by a lithium tantalate microresonator with a measured quality factor of 0.9·108. The measured electro-optic coefficient for a microresonator with 1 mm thick and 3 mm diameter was δf /δU ≈ 13.2 MHz/V, which is in good agreement with the theoretical estimate and our numerical simulation. We also experimentally measured the frequency stabilization region ∆Ωexp ≈ 350 MHz and estimated the linewidth ∆νest ≈ 104 Hz in the self-injection locking mode.
Keywords: optical microresonators, electro-optical effect, frequency stabilization.
