Abstract. The paper considers the issues of assessing the trends in the Caribbean Sea for the period from 1993 to 2020 and determining the characteristics of the gravity field according to satellite altimetry data using the software tools of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “VNIIFTRI”.
It is shown that over the past 30 years, the average rate of sea level rise in the study region was slightly less than the average global rise (∼3.2–3.4 mm/year). The standard deviation of gravity anomalies (calculated) from the data of the EGM2008 global model does not exceed 4 mGal in the open sea and 14 mGal in the coastal zone.

Keywords: altimetry, sea level, Earth’s gravitational field, geoid model, Caribbean region.
