Abstract. The paper is devoted to a mathematical description of the response of a laser interferometric detector, when a gravitational wave passes through it, for the case of an arbitrary relative orientation of the gravitational wave source and interferometer arms. Formulas are given to calculate the mass and frequency of binary systems of black holes or neutron stars, which are the most probable gravitational wave sources for the “SOIGA” gravitational wave antenna. The impact of perturbing accelerations of gravitational nature on the sample masses inside the “SOIGA” spacecraft is described.
