Abstract. The laser anemometer was tested on the verification facility in laboratory conditions as a working standard for periodic verification of large-diameter (DN 1400) trunk ultrasonic measurement complexes. The estimates of the total and expanded relative uncertainty of the prototype of the laser anemometer according to the results of tests at the verification facility are obtained. The estimate of the relative error of measurement of gas volume flow, which can have a verifiable large-diameter ultrasonic flowmeter with the use of laser anemometer as a working standard, is obtained. The results are relevant for on-site verification of trunk ultrasonic measurement complexes without stopping the process of gas transportation via main gas pipelines.

Keywords: ultrasonic measurement complex, laser anemometer, periodic verification, working standard, main gas pipeline.
