Abstract. The paper deals with one of the options for accelerating the process of non-contact measurements on a video measuring machine (VMM) for linear and angular dimensional inspection. The purpose of this work is to develop and then implement a new algorithm for the control of linear dimensions of parts on the VMM by creating a measurement program in the learning mode of the software QSPAK. This program should reduce measurement time, while ensuring high accuracy. As a result of the measuring program, 51 dimensions of a typical part were controlled. A total of 153 measurements were performed — once in the teach mode and twice in the repeat mode. The use of the measuring program will reduce the time required to inspect the linear dimensions of batches of parts. This innovation can help to increase the accuracy of measurements in various industries, improving the quality and increasing the speed of product inspection.

Keywords: video measuring machine, non-contact measurements, dimensional control, measuring program, measurement.
