Annotation. In this paper one of the promising methods of stabilizing a fiber-optic line for the transmission of time stamps is considered. The basic principle of construction and operation of such a system is described. It is shown that the use of a pseudo-randomly modulated optical signal makes it possible to compensate for external influences and fluctuations in the communication line. In the end the conclusions and the most important results obtained in the course of the work are presented.
Key words: pseudo-random sequence, transmission of time and frequency, laser ranging, precision distance measurement, correlation function.
