The article is devoted to the urgent task of today — the organization of serial production of measuring instruments. We are talking about equipping the country’s enterprises with domestic measuring instruments. The approaches to the modernization of measuring instruments are discussed. It is a question of the tasks of metrological enterprises in solving this problem.
