The analysis of the factors influencing the comparison of remote frequency and time standards (FTS) over fiber-optic communication lines (FOCL) for gravimetry problems, in particular, for measuring the gravity potential difference, and determining the gravitational frequency shift. The results of the analysis of the main components of the error of comparisons of the time scales of remote FTS on fiber-optic lines are presented. The ways to improve the accuracy of comparisons of time scales are proposed.
Key words: frequency and time standards, fiber-optic communication line, comparison of time scales, chromatic dispersion.
