Abstract. Now 36 years have passed since the discovery of the little-known photocharging effect, which has not yet found an explanation, the experimental study of which, still relevant, is continued in this article. A brief overview of studies of this effect, which manifests itself only in dynamics, for changing illumination is given. Experimental data were obtained at illumination intensities above and below the limit of manifestation of the effect. An empirical differential equation is proposed that relates the receiver output signal to the illumination intensity both below and above this limit. Recent experimental data are compared with the results of 1988. The effect of pulse duration on response amplitude is described. A layout of a multichannel receiving matrix for receiving video images based on the photocharging effect is proposed.

Keywords: photoelectric effect, photocharging effect, optical pulse, energy, power, intensity.
