Abstract. The article presents the results of studies of the space environment influence on the onboard frequency standards of various GNSS, as well as the algorithm used to account for the impact of surrounding space factors and operating conditions on the behavior of satellite time scales. Using the example of calculating geomagnetic activity indices, it is shown that the GNSS time-frequency data can be used to estimate the values of solar and geomagnetic activity parameters and serve as an additional source of information in modelling the geophysical fields and their variations caused by the impact of solar activity.
Keywords: GNSS, onboard frequency standards, time scales, space environment, geomagnetic field.
