Review
Abstract. The purpose of this article is to summarize and present theoretical information to understand what biotechnological systems are from the perspective of homeostasis. The concept of homeostasis has long gone beyond the scope of biotechnology and is now used in engineering for the systematic analysis of various technological systems. Almost all biological systems, including the human body, rely on the homeostasis of the free radical — antioxidant system. The author has been studying this issue for a long time. As a practical result of the research on the homeostasis of the free radical — antioxidant system, rapid tests and patents for determining the quality of biotechnological products and environments have been developed, in which the author has been actively involved.
