Abstract. Calibration of a fluxgate magnetometer is an integral part of its practical application. The well-known method of calibrating a magnetometer is based on its rotation around each of the axes. It requires a non-magnetic setup that allows rotation of the magnetometer in all three axes, and a constant external magnetic field during calibration. The article considers two algorithms for the magnetometer calibration method based on its rotation, presents the noise characteristics of two points chosen for magnetometer calibration, the calibration setup and the calibration results of three fluxgate magnetometers.

Keywords: fluxgate magnetometer, magnetometer calibration, Earth’s magnetic field.
