Abstract: Packaging materials serve as the first line of defense to ensure the quality of their contents. Concerns have been raised in recent years about extractables and leachables affecting public health and safety, as some of these compounds have potentially toxic characteristics.
This paper presents the first two, ready-to-use, certified reference materials for chromatograph calibration. The components of these two mixtures are the most significant organic chemicals for the food and pharmaceutical market segments.
