Abstract. The results of studies of the ecological and physiological state of forests in the Soviet-American experiment “SAYANS 91”, conducted in the mountains of the Western Sayan in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and the results of studies at the Timiryazevskaya dacha in Moscow by developed in FSUE “VNIIFTRI” acousto-optic spectrometer “Quartz-4” are presented.
