Abstract. The main scientific results obtained during the development of the Russian space gravitational-wave antenna are presented. Possible ways of application of the developed layout of the heterodyne interferometer for improvement of standards and measuring instruments of vib­ration displacement, vibration velocity and vibration acceleration of solid bodies are shown. The single-frequency interferometer system can be used to improve the accuracy of linear and angular dis­placement measurement standards and instruments. The capacitive measuring system can be used to develop novel sensors for measuring linear displacement, inclination, thickness and deviation of the studied profile.
