Abstract. An optimized algorithm for parameter estimation of acousto-optic frequency shifters based on isotropic diffraction is proposed. For frequency shifters with predetermined properties, the regions of allowed values of ultrasonic radiator dimensions are determined. Characteristic points and possibilities of extending these regions are shown.
