Abstract. Quantitative determination of the dose absorbed by the photosensitizer (PS) and determining the threshold of the photodynamic effect is a non-trivial task, even under in vitro conditions. The corresponding measurements were made in this work. The radiation source was an LED matrix. The sample for the study was a quartz cuvette in the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped, filled with a mixture of a suspension of erythrocytes (blood diluted with saline solution) with the addition of PS “Radachlorin”. A solution has been proposed to the problem of calculating the dose absorbed by PS when the radiation power distribution of the matrix source is uneven across the plane of the sample location.
