The necessity of using digital processing in complex signal processing is proved. Analysis of geophysical data was one of the first examples of signal processing by digital methods.
Reference is made to the literary sources, where various algorithms for processing of the digital codes of instantaneous values of the studied signal are considered for determination of the harmonic factor and their errors. A detailed description of the analog-to-digital conversion with a generalized scheme of the ADC is given.
The work reports on the existence of different variants of signal digital synthesis, with the focus on direct digital synthesis technology (DDS).
In conclusion, the development of the State Primary Standard of the unit of harmonic factors in the range of (0.001 … 100) % for signals with the main harmonic in the frequency range of (10 … 200 000) Hz (GET 188-2010) on a digital basis at the VNIIFTRI Federal State Unitary Enterprise is reported; its main characteristics are given.

Key words: signal processing, digital methods, algorithms for processing of digital codes of signal values, harmonic levels, direct digital synthesis, the state primary standard.
