Abstract. The main factors affecting the phase of modulated optical signals transmitted over a fiber-optic communication line (FOCL) are considered in order to provide the possibility of comparing the frequencies of remote frequency and time standards that are part of the quantum level. The results of calculations of changes in the phase of signals at the FOCL output caused by changes in external influences (temperature and pressure) are presented, taking into account possible variations in the optical and mechanical properties of single-mode fibers.

Keywords: fiber-optic communication line, frequency and time standard, frequency comparison, quantum level, phase difference.
