Budgeting the uncertainty of the measurement result is an urgent metrological task when conducting quantitative chemical analysis. The widespread use of measuring instruments for individual calibration dictates the need to assess the uncertainty of the resulting calibration characteristic. The article shows the method of its calculation and provides an example for the use of a PE-5400VI spectrophotometer to measure the mass concentration of total iron in drinking water according to GOST 4011-72.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Keywords: measurement uncertainty, calibration, spectrophotometer, calibration solu\u00adtion, uncertainty of calibration characteristic<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For citation: Dobrotin S.A., Kosyreva O.N., Popov A.A.
